how do you do stripes?

the important thing is to not mix the colors too much, or else you end up with a blob of some odd brown color instead of distinct and uniquely colored stripes. just wad your scrap clay into a ball, roll into a decent sized log, fold it in half, roll it out again, and continue until you have nice thin stripes, but your colors haven't started mixing together yet. then flatten clay out super thin, and use either a circle or a tear-drop shaped clay cutter and cut out your petals, then wrap them one by one around a toothpick, overlaping them so you get that nice 'flowery' look, then slip your flower off the toothpick, bake it, and you're done! :XD: it's a good use of 'scrap' clay. they're kind of hard to turn into charms, but you could poke holes in them and make beads for a choker or a bracelet.
